Bose QuietComfort 45 New ANC Headphones Specifications And Details

Bose QC 45

With the QuietComfort 45 (QC 45), Bose will shortly be launching a new generation of its wireless over-ear headphones with active noise cancellation (ANC), which are extremely popular with travelers. We have all the information about the headphones in advance.

After a few experiments with alternative designs, the Bose QuietComfort 45 (QC 45) is back to the tried and tested design with a wide headband, at the end of which the ear cups are attached to hinges and are therefore foldable. As before, there are again buttons for activating noise cancellation and access to voice assistants.

The Bose marketing materials do not yet reveal how strong the noise suppression on the QuietComfort 45 (QC45) should ultimately be. However, it is claimed that the headphones have world-class ANC functionality and, thanks to proprietary technology, deliver deep, clear sound.

Aware mode, multi-device support, TriPort architecture & Active EQ

In addition, the Bose QC 45 should again offer the so-called aware mode, with which, thanks to the built-in microphones, you should be able to listen to music and other media, but at the same time be able to perceive the environment. Bose also relies on the TriPort acoustic architecture and integrates a volume-dependent active equalizer (Active EQ).

In order to make the headphones “shockingly light”, as claimed by Bose, the material used is synthetic leather and glass-filled nylon, which should offer both maximum comfort and high resistance. The earpads should be particularly soft and comfortable to wear again.

As far as the running time of the new Bose QuietComfort 45 (QC 45) is concerned, the manufacturer again promises a significant increase. The battery is shrinking slightly, but the new wireless headphones with ANC should last longer. The power storage of the new model is “only” 460mAh, while the predecessor came with a 495mAh battery.

Longer runtime of up to 24 hours

Up to 24 hours of music playback should be possible with the QC 45 from Bose. With the predecessor, it was four hours less. The battery should be able to be charged within 2.5 hours via USB Type-C. If you have less time, you can also use the fast charging mode, which should provide enough energy for up to 2.5 hours of use within 15 minutes.

Alternatively, the Bose QuietComfort 45 ANC headphones can also be reconnected to the respective audio source via the 3.5mm jack connection in order to achieve even longer runtimes. The manufacturer includes a corresponding cable. In normal operation, the wireless connection is established via Bluetooth 5.1.

The Bose QuietComfort 45 (QC 45) will soon also be available in Europe. The official price recommendation is likely to be a little higher than the previous model because Bose has set an official recommended retail price of $329 in the USA.
