For quite a long time, the Chrome Web Store was presented with the same old design. Google just unveiled the new, sleek Chrome Web Store, which updates to the newest Android devices and a variety of Google apps, replacing its outdated look with a new coat of Material You paint. The new redesign is now available for everyone.
Notably, the new design of the Chrome Web Store resembles a lot with the web version of the Play Store, given the top navigation bar and rounded rectangles. However, it is not exactly the same as the Material You theme on the Play Store, but there are some significant modifications. A new slider at the top gives access to the best extensions and themes. It eliminated the left-hand sidebar in favor of an infinite content scroll. However, the sidebar does appear when a user visits a particular category. It contains clickable categories that offer deep explorations in the web store.
Themes and extensions come with a modern design that features rounded rectangles. The search bar has been moved to the top-right corner. It accompanies several search modifiers that will filter the results through different items, established publishers, and featured extensions. To be sure you’re choosing what you actually need, you may also sort the items by rating. “Collections,” which include extensions or themes that Google personally selected to meet users’ particular needs, are another addition to the updated store.
On each item page, a collection of screenshots is available. It even contains the redesigned Add to Chrome button. In contrast to the previous scattered arrangement of overviews, privacy information, details, and related items, they are now arranged in a column, thus making it easier to learn about an item prior to installing it. You won’t need to make any significant changes because the listings for extensions and themes are much the same. Google’s main priorities have been to bring the site up to date and make it consistent with its current design philosophies.
