Do you know Google keeps track even when you’re in the Incognito mode?

It is a question many would be asking that if Google collects your data while browsing in the incognito mode? The response is crystal clear after the lawsuit which stated that Google continues to track users’ activities secretly and collect a large amount of data.

According to a report, users filed a class-action lawsuit, claiming that even if the data collection function is turned off, other Google tools will continue collecting personal information.

Hearing the case, U.S. District Judge Lucy Koh in San Jose, California, wrote in her ruling:

The court concludes that Google did not notify users that Google engages in the alleged data collection while the user is in private browsing mode,

About the lawsuit, it all started when three Google users filed a complaint back in June claiming that the company carries on a ‘pervasive data tracking business.’ In simple words, Google continues collecting browsing history and other web activity data even when the data collection function is turned off. Not only this, even in the Incognito mode, the company will track everything users do.

Google knows who your friends are, what your hobbies are, what you like to eat, what movies you watch, where and when you like to shop, what your favorite vacation destinations are, what your favorite color is, and even the most intimate and potentially embarrassing things you browse on the internet — regardless of whether you follow Google’s advice to keep your activities private,

In response, the company said:

Google also makes clear that ‘Incognito’ does not mean ‘invisible,’ and that the user’s activity during that session may be visible to websites they visit, and any third-party analytics or ads services the visited websites use,
