Exynos Vs Snapdragon Which Is Better In Performance?

Of course, Samsung is already working on the next generation of its high-end processors for use in smartphones. According to media reports from South Korea, there is also a switch to a more modern manufacturing process with a structure width of just three nanometers.

New manufacturing technology is intended to boost efficiency

According to a report from the Korean portal Business Korea, Samsung wants, among other things, to ensure that the Galaxy S25, the manufacturer’s new flagship smartphone, is also equipped with the in-house new top SoC Samsung Exynos 2500. According to reports, the chip will be manufactured with a structure width of just three nanometers, although Samsung already wants to use the second generation of its 3nm technology for this.

This node, called SF3, is intended, among other things, to ensure that the energy efficiency of Samsung’s chips becomes significantly better. Just a few weeks ago, Samsung’s semiconductor division announced that it had worked with Synopsis, one of the major chip design solutions providers, to increase the efficiency of the 3nm chips it produces.

Samsung apparently wants to start producing the first 3-nanometer chips for the mass market as early as July 2024, although they will initially be used in the new Galaxy Watch 7 smartwatch and not in smartphones. The Exynos 2500 will only roll off the production line in the updated node at a later date later in the year.

At least that’s what SamMobile magazine claims, Samsung will once again rely on its proven strategy for the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ of equipping some of its own smartphones with its own chips. In Europe, the two “smaller” models of the new series of top smartphones are likely to come with the Exynos 2500. The Galaxy S25 Ultra will probably again work with a Qualcomm chip, which is likely to be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, it is said.

By improving the efficiency of its chips, Samsung will catch up with Qualcomm with the Exynos 2500, at least in this regard, according to the report from Korea. Until the current Exynos 2400, Samsung’s own chips were often criticized for their lower performance values and lower efficiency compared to products from competitor Qualcomm. However, the situation is now largely balanced.
