EzBench: Unreal Engine 5, 8K textures and ray tracing require GPUs

EzBench uses the latest Unreal Engine version 5, high resolution 8K textures and ray tracing, pushing even modern graphics cards to the limit. The developers state that the benchmark itself can challenge and take full advantage of a GeForce RTX 3090 (test).

Unreal Engine 5 benchmark with high demands

The benchmark can free on steam downloaded and contains a total of 20 GB of data for download. Norwegian game developer Eztheory AS promises a “next-gen graphics benchmark” and “theater-quality assets” that will “make even a GeForce RTX 3090 sweat”. The official benchmark system requirements are as follows: Minimum Requirements

  • Core i-7000 (“Kaby Lake”)*
  • 16GB memory
  • 8 GB graphics memory
  • GeForce GTX 1080**
  • DirectX 12

*/**) or equivalent from AMD Recommended system requirements are much higher and require powerful current hardware: Recommended Requirements

  • Core i-10000 (“Comet Lake”)*
  • 32GB memory
  • 8 GB graphics memory
  • GeForce RTX 3000**
  • DirectX 12

**/**) or AMD equivalent

Ampere clearly leads the way thanks to ray tracing

While an AMD Ryzen 9 3900 XT (test), 32 GB of RAM, and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti score about 22,200 points in Full HD in EzBench, an AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT comes in at about 13,800 points. An Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 comes together with a hybrid Intel Core i9-12900K (test) to more than 39,000 points.
