FIA arrests a man for alleged Cyber Harassment In Pakistan

Today in Lahore a man was arrested by the cyber crime branch of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). The man was accused of harassing a woman in Faisalabad according to the sources. Muhammad Amir a resident of Faisalabad was taken into the custody at the fast food restaurant in Faisalabad after FIA received the information about the location of the person.

Sobia Atif the victim of cyber harassment earlier registered a complaint about the accused Amir, the woman told FIA that he was harassing her and blackmailing her with indecent images in an exchange with money and sexual favours.

The FIA received information about the accused that he will be visiting the multinational fast food restaurant in Faisalabad in order to exchange personal data and collect Rs1.5 million. The FIA team raided the restaurant in a timely manner and arrested Muhammad Amir, the team also retrieved the data from the mobile phone of the accused. Later, FIA filed a case against the accused and probe is underway.
