For its FreeClip earphones, Huawei is releasing the first software update

Recently, Huawei debuted its new open-back FreeClip earbuds on the global market. According to some recent pieces of information, the company is now set to roll out the first software update for the new earbuds. Notably, the update weighs 794KBs. The main agenda of this update is improvements to Bluetooth connectivity and stability.

In simple words, the earbuds will now offer fewer dropped connections and a smooth listening experience. The company has not shared any further details about the changes; however, there will be something more in the firmware. The earphones can be updated by heading to the Huawei Smart AI Life app. Click on the Device section and install the update listed in the settings.

Huawei FreeClip is a lightweight and reversible earbud. These are the first open-ear-style earphones debuted by Huawei. They are quite comfortable since they consist of a comfort bean and an acoustic ball. The two parts are joined through a C-bridge design. An open-ear earphone doesn’t fit against the ear canal, so users get to hear outside noises with this product. The company states that the earbuds are tuned in accordance with the information that the sensor gathers, depending on the ear the earbuds fit in.

Interestingly, the earbuds can be connected to two different devices at the same time. Some other interesting features of the earbuds include a long battery life of up to 32 hours and fast charging. Notably, the gadget can offer 3 hours of activity with just ten minutes of charge. Moreover, it is IP54-certified for dust and water resistance.
