Galaxy XCover 7 receives more regulatory approvals

The South Korean conglomerate Samsung is all prepared to launch the Galaxy XCover 7. Just recently, the smartphone received regulatory approvals from Bluetooth SIG and India’s BIS. As of now, the FCC in the US and Thailand’s NBTC have granted certifications to the Galaxy XCover 7.

What do the certifications reveal about the specs of the new Galaxy XCover 7?

Just recently, the design of the upcoming smartphone was revealed in some official renders. Furthermore, the smartphone with model number SM-G556B was spotted on different online listings, giving us a clue about the specs of the Galaxy XCover 7. It looks like the company is going to debut a budget-friendly and rugged smartphone. In contrast to this, the Galaxy XCover 6 debuted with some premium features.

Currently, there are no details about the launch date; however, the recent certification does give us a look at the key specs of the Galaxy XCover 7. NBTC certification reveals the name as well as 5G cellular connectivity for the smartphone. In addition to this, the FCC listing details that the smartphone will pack a 3,950mAh battery with support for 25W fast wired charging.

Some other connectivity features revealed by the listings indicate that the smartphone will feature NFC, Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth v5.3 (Bluetooth SIG). The Galaxy XCover 7 will come with Android 14, 6GB of RAM, and an octa-core chipset. It is possible that the smartphone might be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC. Well, this chipset is designed for budget Android smartphones with 5G support.

The company might debut a rugged tablet as well

Possibly, Samsung is working on a rugged tablet, the Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro, as well. The specs and information available about the tablet until now indicate that it will be a budget offering and there is a chance that the device might abandon the Pro branding. Perhaps we will hear more about the two products in the coming days. They might be unveiled early next year.
