The South Korean conglomerate is known for its eco-friendly products. For some time now, the company has shifted its focus towards environmentally healthy products by introducing changes in its products’ internal design and packaging. Samsung introduced the Galaxy S23 series with replaceable batteries. Such batteries were provided with less glue and a pull tab, making them easier to replace. Some recent reports indicate that the company is adopting a similar strategy with the foldable too.
Recently, the batterie of the next-gen foldable i.e., Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5 were certified by the South Korean safety certification authority. The shared images of batteries unveil the model number. As per the information, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will come with two batteries. These batteries will carry the model number EB-BF731ABY and EB-BF732ABY. Similarly, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will come with EB-BF946ABY and EB-BF947ABY pair of batteries.
All four batteries are provided with a pull tab. A pull tab will make it easier to replace the batteries. These batteries have been manufactured by ATL (Amperex Technology Limited), a Chinese firm. The secondary battery holds a capacity of 971mAh for the Galaxy Z Flip 5. In contrast, this capacity is less than the secondary battery of Galaxy Z Flip 4 (1,040mAh). Well, things are uncertain as of now. The actual battery capacity of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will unveil with time.

The company is making efforts to manufacture and introduce eco-friendly products. As a part of this strategy, the company has launched various accessories based on recyclable and PCM materials. In addition to this, the company is utilizing sustainable energy sources and water filtration methods for its plants. Furthermore, the packaging of Samsung’s phones, tablets, TVs, and soundbars consists of eco-friendly and recyclable materials.
