Galaxy Z Flip Series receives Android 12 update in Canada

Galaxy Z Flip and the Galaxy Z Flip 5G first received the Android 12 update last month. It was however limited only to Asian as well as European markets. In the last week, Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip and the Galaxy Z Flip 5G received the most significant Android OS update in the US. The South Korean firm has released the Android 12 update to the two smartphones that fold in Canada.

The Android 12-based OneUI 4.0 version for Galaxy Z Flip comes with firmware version F700WVLU4FULA in Canada. It is available now through Bell Mobile, Rogers, Telus, and Videotron’s networks. for the Galaxy Z Flip 5G, the Android 12 update bears firmware version F707WVLU2EUL9. 

The updated software is available across all major carrier networks that include Bell Mobile, Fido Mobile, Koodo Mobile, Rogers, SaskTel, Telus, Videotron along with Virgin Mobile. Both phones are on their November 2021 patch for security However, they are not on the December 2021 security patch.

If you’re a Galaxy Z Flip or Galaxy Z Flip 5G owner in Canada and you are a Canadian, you can receive your Android 12 update by navigating to Settings > Software update, and then tapping Download and Install. Download the most recent firmware in our databases and then flash the firmware manually on a Windows computer. Before you do that, you must make sure you backup your entire information.

Samsung introduced its Galaxy Z Flip and the Galaxy Z Flip 5G in 2020. Both phones come with Android 10, based on OneUI 2.0. Both phones received an Android 11-based One UI 3 update in early 2021. They also received it was followed by the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update just a few days back.
