Google introduced Material You for Android 12 recently in its I/O 2021 to further focus on users’ privacy and making “My Activity” usage history more protected by adding an extra layer of password verification.

According to the information, when this feature is enabled, Google will require users to enter a password to see full usage history. This feature would be useful for common-use devices.

When you go to your ‘My Activity Page’, there’s a new option for “Manage My Activity verification.” Click on it to activate this new feature. When you allow this feature, you’ll be asked to re-enter your Google password o see your full history.

If you don’t share your devices with anyone, you could simply turn this feature off as this could be quite annoying when you have to enter the password every time you try to access your history.
