Google Drive’s latest update for Android brings PDF annotation support

Google Drive

Google is making major improvements to its applications. Recently, Google has introduced a feature for handling multiple files at once. As a result of that advancement, Google has now added free-hand pdf annotation support to Android devices. This latest feature allows you to edit your PDF by either using a finger or a stylus. You can draw on the pdf, highlight important text or images, or do anything else you want. You can get this feature by updating to the latest application. In the latest version, when you open a pdf, it will show its latest floating action button at the bottom right corner of your screen. By clicking on this button, a capsule-shaped menu will pop up over the bottom navigation bar.

In this popup, you can see six tools. Among these tools is a pen tool that is used to draw on your PDF. This pen tool is available in four main colors: red, black, blue, and green, with a stroke width ranging from 8px to 40px. Next to the pen tool, there’s a highlighter tool that is also available in four different shades, including yellow, green, blue, and purple. The highlighter tool also has the same stroke range as the pen tool. By using the highlighter tool, you can highlight any text or picture. It is followed by the eraser tool, which can erase any strokes drawn on a PDF. Other than that, you can also use the undo and redo buttons for removing your strokes. The last one is a tool that allows you to remove all the marks you have made on the PDF.

A save button is available at the top right corner of your screen that will save all the changes you have made to the pdf. You can save your editing in the same file or even a different file. By saving a copy, the original file will remain as it was before editing. As of this update, this menu is available at the bottom of your screen. You can also move it to the top. In vertical mode, if you are using it on a tablet, this feature will be available on the right side of your screen and can be moved to the left.
