Google is rolling out the redesigned version of the GPay app

GPay is the payment platform introduced by the tech giant Google. When it comes to a better app experience, easy navigation is one major element. For quite some time now, reports regarding the app redesign have been circulating. As per the information provided by 9to5Google, the tech giant is finally rolling out the updates.

What is GPay?

GPay is an app that is used to make contactless payments. It is used to send and receive money. It differs from Google Wallet, which enables you to add a wide variety of cards, including gift cards, loyalty cards, IDs, and passports. GPay primarily serves as a payment platform.

Finally, the public is receiving the GPay redesign

Back in February, we learned that tech giant Google would soon roll out a fresh look for the app. Well, the company was testing the redesign with a bunch of users. Finally, the updates are ready to be rolled out on a large scale.

Coming towards the redesigned GPay app, the app is now slimmer. It now accompanies a simple interface. Previously, the app contained three tabs on the bottom bar, including Exploring, Pay, and Insights. With the new updates, The Explore tab is no longer available. Instead, a card titled Top Deals For You will appear under the Pay tab. The Explore tab is replaced by this.

On tapping the card, a page with different deals pops up. The list of deals is based on a user’s activity, i.e., spending habits. You’ll find a lot of discounts at neighborhood pizzerias if you are a pizza lover. A number of chips will be placed in each item on the list to indicate the category to which it belongs. Although the change is not that big yet, it is considerable. Since the user experience becomes more streamlined. The company has begun rolling out fresh updates.
