Google Keep’s single note widget is all set to roll out

The Honor Magic Vs, Xiaomi 13 Pro, and Motorola’s innovative rollable concept phone, the Rizr, were among the notable new hardware introductions at MWC 2023 this year. During this, Google took the stage to reveal a slew of new features and upgrades for Android and Wear OS. The availability of a new Google Keep widget, which enables you to “pin” a single note to your home screen, was not made clear. Within a few days of its release, Google has already made the widget available to everyone.

You may add a note or list to your home screen with the new Keep widget for quick and simple access. Without tags, this was previously impossible. The note will open in Keep when you tap it on your home screen, where you can edit it. Checkboxes on the note may be checked or unchecked directly from the widget.

You can pin numerous notes to your home screen and distinguish between them using colors because the widget will have the same background color as the note.

Google states that the deployment will begin on March 2, 2023, and it will take 15 days to complete, according to an announcement on the Workspace blog. Hence, if the Keep widget is not already visible on your phone or tablet, don’t panic; it should do so within the next few weeks. It is unknown if the new Wear OS 3 Keep complications that Google unveiled at MWC 2023 would also be included in this upgrade.

During the past year or two, Google has lavished our favorite note-taking software with affection. The Wear OS version of the app underwent a Material Design makeover prior to the Pixel Watch’s release last year. Then, in December 2022, Google Keep was given a new two-pane interface for tablets and foldable that made greater use of the larger screen space.
