Google Maps Navigation Feature Gets Rich With Vehicle Graphics

The feature that allowed you to select a different vehicle for road navigation in Google Maps is a function that we had already seen on the iOS version of the app as early as 2018.

However, it seems that the feature is coming to Android smartphone owners soon as Reddit users posted on the platform.

This is the ability to change what is usually a simple blue arrow into a colored vehicle, choosing between one red, one yellow, and one green. We admit that while the functionality is fun, the rendering is not optimal and the 3D version of these vehicles is a bit cluttered within the navigation graphics.

To activate them, just start the street navigation and tap on the blue arrow. At this point, you can choose one of the three vehicles or the original arrow. Unfortunately, the feature is not reflected in Android Auto. It seems that the work is still in release and that someone has not yet received this news.
