Google Pixel 4a Possibly Launching On August 3

The Google Pixel 4a seems to have been moved again. According to the latest information, the smartphone should see the light of day on August 3. However, previous leaks that the device was renamed and marketed as Pixel 5a have not been confirmed.

As Jon Prosser mentioned in a tweet, the Google Pixel 4a was previously announced for July 13. However, the appointment was canceled again. It is not known why the search engine group decided not to launch the smartphone yet. August 3 should now have been saved in the system as the release date. This could officially unveil the device in three weeks.

Whether this information is correct and whether the Google Pixel 4a will actually see the light of day on August 3, 2020, remains open. It would be conceivable that the information noted in the system is only a placeholder and that no date has yet been set. With every shift, it is more likely that Google will only introduce the smartphone in autumn and show it together with the Pixel 5. At the current time, however, this can only be speculated.

Device probably not renamed

Since photos of the packaging of the smartphone have already appeared in the past, it is likely that Google has already produced the Pixel 4a in sufficient quantities and is currently only waiting for the right time to release the device. The rumors that the smartphone will be renamed and marketed as a small version of the Pixel 5 do not seem to have been confirmed. As reported by 9to5google, the Google app contains indications that a Pixel 4a, a Pixel 4a 5G, and a Pixel 5 will be launched this year. In addition, such a renaming would involve a lot of effort and therefore also high costs. However, quite recently we have seen the Geekbench score of Google Pixel midrange device which is also expected to launch alongside these devices.
