Grand Theft Auto 6: Rockstar shows GTA 6 cover, reveals preorder date

Rockstar Games has revealed the official cover art for Grand Theft Auto 6 and announced pre-orders will start at the end of June. After long delays, the game will definitely be released on November 19th (for consoles).

The starting signal for GTA 6 has been given

The time has finally come: Rockstar Games today presented the cover artwork for Grand Theft Auto 6 and announced that pre-orders will begin on June 25th. This ends a months-long phase of speculation surrounding the open-world game. After several postponements, the title will almost certainly come onto the market on November 19, 2026 for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. The artwork unsurprisingly shows the two main characters Jason and Lucia in the center.

They are surrounded by series-typical elements such as a helicopter, a yellow sports car and an alligator. The depiction captures the atmosphere of the fictional state of Leonida, which is based on Florida. When pre-orders start, the final price will also be determined. Previous estimates were between 70 and 80 dollars or euros. Grand Theft Auto 6: Official GTA 6 cover reveal

Beware of false offers

Of course, the announcement also attracts fraudsters, as unofficial websites are currently popping up online that require an unauthorized deposit. For example, users are supposed to pay ten dollars to secure the alleged right to pre-order at a later date. Of course, it is strongly advised not to accept such offers. Anyone who would like to purchase a digital version of Grand Theft Auto 6 can do so from the official date via the Sony and Microsoft stores – and not a day before.

Long road to release

The confirmation of the November date should reassure many fans. The release was originally planned for fall 2025. After an initial postponement to May 2026, the parent company Take-Two Interactive had to correct the date again to the end of 2026. With the digital sites opening up for pre-orders, a further delay is now considered highly unlikely, as platform operators only allow such campaigns on secured schedules.
