HP Envy 14 Laptop Reportedly Provides 16 Hours Battery

HP Envy 14 Laptop

In addition to numerous business products, HP is presenting an updated version of its Envy 14 premium notebook at CES 2021. The 14-inch device in 16:10 format gets more power for creative tasks and games and should offer a battery life of up to 16 hours.

Although AMD and Nvidia want to appear at the virtual consumer electronics show with new mobile processors and graphics cards, HP prefers its notebook launch and relies on well-known, albeit powerful, hardware. The HP Envy 14 will have the eleventh Intel Core generation and will primarily be based on the Core i5-1135G7, a quad-core processor with a performance of up to 4.2 GHz. In addition to the integrated graphics, the dedicated Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Ti in Max-Q design can also be used in some configurations.

Accurate colour reproduction, fast SSDs and Thunderbolt 4

According to the manufacturer, the HP Envy 14 should have a display in 16:10 format that should score with “lifelike colours”. The sRGB coverage of 100 percent and a Delta-E value below two should particularly appeal to creative workers who are at home in Photoshop, Premiere and Co. Apart from that, the 14-inch screen has a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, IPS technology and a touchscreen. The version of the Envy 14 (eb0010nr) advertised by HP also features a 256 GB NVMe SSD and 16 GB DDR4 RAM. These may vary depending on the price.

Other features of the new HP Envy 14 (2021) include features such as WLAN-ax (Wi-Fi 6), Bluetooth 5.0, Thunderbolt 4 (USB4 Type-C), a fingerprint reader and a 720p webcam. For many, however, the main focus should be on the battery life, which HP specifies as up to 16.5 hours in this case. The starting shot for the new laptops should be given in January. In the US, the Envy 14 costs at least $999. When and at what price the first customers in Germany will be delivered has not yet been determined.
