Back in March, the Chinese company Huawei introduced the Huawei Mate X3. Initially, the smartphone was introduced in the Chinese local market. As of now, the company has announced that the Huawei Mate X3 is going to make its global debut. The Mate X3 is an amazing foldable that is quite thin. It folds flat and offers an IPX8 rating for water resistance. It is a book-style foldable.

The device has a large 7.85-inch 2224 x 2496 foldable OLED main display. It offers a 120Hz refresh rate. It accompanies a display camera hole on the panel. It has thin bezels. Whereas the cover display is a 6.4 inches OLED panel. It also has thin bezels and a centered display camera hole. It comes with a fullHD+ (2504 x 1080) resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
SoC and storage options
The Huawei Mate X3 is powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. However, the device is restricted to 4G connectivity due to US restrictions. The company has introduced the device with 12GB of RAM. Furthermore, the company has introduced three different storage variants of the Huawei Mate X3 in China. There are no details on which of these storage variants is going to make its international debut.
Camera setup
The device comes with a 50MP main camera located on the back panel. It is accompanied by a 13MP ultrawide camera as well as a 12MP periscope telephoto camera. an 8MP camera is provided on the inside of each of the phone’s displays.
Battery size and charging capacity
Huawei Mate X3 includes a 4,800mAh battery. It has support for 66W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 7.5W reverse wireless charging.
Other connectivity features
Stereo speakers, Bluetooth 5.2, and EMUI 13.1 are some other connectivity features. however, the device is not offered with Google service owing to the US ban. The company has included its own mobile services. Huawei Mate X3 includes a side-facing fingerprint scanner.
For such a sizable foldable, the Huawei Mate X3 weighs only 239 grams, which is fantastic. When folded, it measures 156.9 x 72.4 x 11.8mm and when unfolded, 156.9 x 141.5 x 5.3mm. Its thinness is particularly noteworthy because the majority of the competitors are much thicker.
On May 22, the phone will be available for purchase in Europe for €2,199. But starting today, Huawei e-commerce and a few chosen partners in Europe will accept preorders for it.
