Huawei Mate 60 Pro is now official with a compelling camera setup

Huawei just debuted its Mate 60 Pro in China. Reportedly, the newly introduced smartphone showcases a unique and odd design. On the front, the Mate 60 Pro features three display camera holes. It is the first smartphone to feature this design.

Well, design-wise, this is quite strange. Perhaps it is not attractive to everyone. We’re not sure if, using software, you could conceal such holes and turn them into pill-shaped ones. There’s a good chance that such an option exists in some form or another. It features thin and uniform bezels around the display. The physical buttons can be found on the right-hand side, whereas the display is curved.

Mate 60 Pro has an excellent camera setup

On the back, the Mate 60 Pro features a ring-shaped camera island. It hosts three cameras with Huawei’s XMAGE branding. It features a 50MP primary camera with variable aperture and OIS support. It is basically a 10-step variable aperture that is only offered by Huawei.

The main camera is accompanied by a 12MP ultrawide camera and a super macro telephoto camera with support for 3.5x optical zoom, and 100x digital zoom. A 13MP ultrawide camera and a 3D depth camera can be found on the front. One of the reasons why the Mate 60 Pro has so many cutouts on the front is because it does support 3D facial scanning.

There is no information about the processor of the Mate 60 Pro

The company’s website doesn’t reveal the processor of the Mate 60 Pro. It might come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and 4G connectivity. Mate 60 Pro features a 6.82-inch 2720 x 1260 OLED display. It is an LPTO display with a refresh rate ranging from 1 to 120Hz. It features support for 1,440Hz PWM dimming and a 300Hz touch sampling rate. Mate 60 Pro is protected by second-generation Kunlun glass. It offers 12GB of RAM, and either 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of storage options. The storage is expandable.

Huawei Mate 60 Pro supports 88W wired and 50W wireless charging

Mate 60 Pro is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 88W wired and 50W wireless charging. The smartphone comes with a charger in the box. Besides this, the smartphone is certified with IP68 for water and dust resistance. Pre-installed HarmonyOS 4.0 is available, Bluetooth 5.2, and satellite calling is also supported. The Huawei Mate 60 Pro weighs 225 grams and has dimensions of 163.65 x 79 x 8.1mm.

It comes in four color options

The smartphone is available in four different color options: Nannuo Purple, Yachuan Green, Baisha Silver, and Yadan Black. Well, these names are machine-translated into simple terms: the colors are Black, Green, Purple, and Silver. Currently, there is word regarding the arrival of the Mate 60 Pro in the international market.
