Huawei Mate Xs 2: Foldable with 7.8″ OLED with 120 Hz coming to Europe
The Huawei Mate XS 2 with a fold-out display and a 50-megapixel camera system is coming to Germany. The successor to the Mate Xs has a 120 Hz OLED display with 7.8 inches (unfolded) or 6.5 inches (folded), weighs 255 grams, and is only 5.4 mm thick when unfolded.
OLED display with a sampling rate of 120 Hz and 240 Hz
Unfolded, the resolution of the 7.8-inch OLED screen is 2,480 × 2,200 pixels. It is folded to 6.5 inches with 2,480 × 1,176 pixels. The touch sampling rate of the display is up to 240 Hz. Unfolded, the Mate Xs 2 measures 139.9 × 165.5 × 11.1 (5.4) mm. When folded, the width is reduced to 75.5 mm.
Snapdragon 888, 512 GB and 8 GB RAM
The processor is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 4G with a Cortex-X1 core clocked at up to 2.84 GHz, three Cortex-A78 cores clocked at up to 2.42 GHz, and four Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz. The Mate Xs 2 offers 512 GB of internal storage and 8 GB of RAM. The memory is expandable by up to 256 GB with a Nano Memory Card from Huawei. In addition to Wi-Fi 6 according to 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax with 2×2 MIMO Bluetooth 5.2 and NFC are supported. The operating system is HarmonyOS 2 with EMUI 12.
Falcon Wing Hinge and 66 Watt Charging
The Mate Xs 2’s hinge, called “Falcon Wing” and made of steel, is said to be particularly stable. The battery has a capacity of 4,600 mAh and can be quickly charged up to 66 watts via SuperCharge with USB-C. It should be 90 percent charged again after just 30 minutes.
50MP triple camera
The front camera of the smartphone has a resolution of 10.7 megapixels (wide-angle, f/2.2), while the three main cameras offer 50 megapixels (wide-angle camera, f/1.8), 13 megapixels (ultra wide-angle camera, f/2.2) and 8 megapixels (telephoto, f/2.2, OIS). In terms of the camera, the Mate Xs 2 is 11.1 mm thick.

The Huawei Mate Xs 2 will be available with black and white backs. The price is 1,999 euros and should go on sale in June.
