Huawei Nova 8 SE Leak Suggests MediaTek Dimensity And 66W Fast Charging

Huawei has already launched a handset in Nova Series the nova 7 SE Youth which is a 5G enabled phone along with a Mediatek chipset. Huawei is now working on a new family member of this series. In China, the new device is named Huawei nova 8 SE, the device is expected to arrive in two variants and will have slight improvements covering the screen and battery departments majorly.

A well-trusted Chinese leakster revealed the nova 8 SE will have a 6.53” OLED screen with Full HD+ resolution. It will support 66W fast charging that was introduced earlier this month with the Huawei Mate 40 Pro flagships.

The leak also reveals there will be two variants of the nova 8 mid-ranger with two different 5G chipsets, both by Mediatek—one will be slightly more affordable and will run the Dimensity 720, the other will stick to the Dimensity 800U that is already powering the nova 7 SE 5G Youth.

Camera-wise, the nova 8 SE is supposed to have four shooters on the back (48MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP), while there will be only one camera on the front – 16MP. The major change between the nova 8 SE and its elder brother will also be the body—the new upcoming device is supposed to be lighter and thinner, with rumors saying it will be just 7.46 mm thin and will weigh around 178 grams.
