Huawei P40 Lite 5G – Specs, Price & Launch Date

Back in February, Huawei launched P40 Lite. It was the cheapest phone of Huawei in its P40 lineup. The device did not have the Kirin 990 chipset. Instead of it, it featured the mid-range Kirin 810 SoC. However, the price of the phone was quite an affordable sub-€300.

Huawei is now preparing to introduce a 5G version of its affordable P40 Lite phone. It is important to mention here that the new Huawei P40 Lite is a rebranded version of the Huawei Nova 7 SE, which is presently available in China.

The new phone of Huawei will reportedly feature the Kirin 820 chipset. This chips also power the Honor 30S series in China. It boasts a 27% CPU performance boost and a 40% GPU performance upgrade in comparison to Kirin 810.

Huawei P40 Lite 5G is expected to feature an HDR10 capable 6.5-inch LCD display with an FHD+ resolution. The display size of the phone will almost equal that of the P40 Lite 4G variant.

Coming to the camera setup of the phone, it will have a 64MP main sensor in comparison to the 48MP camera on the present model. Also, it has a 16MP selfie camera placed inside a punch hole on the top left corner of the screen. The battery of the phone is 4,000mAh with 40W fast charging.

Release date – The expected announcement of the phone is in May 2020. The release of the phone is expected at some time in 2020.

The colors in which the phone will be available are crush green, space silver, and midnight black.

The expected price of the phone will be around 450 euro.
