Huawei to upgrade airport facilities in Pakistan that will minimize the queues

Chinese mobile giant Huawei is planning to provide state-of-the-art technology facilities to the passengers traveling from and traveling to Pakistani airports. The plan dubbed “Airport Solution” is an innovative solution which will help reduce long queues at the airport.

The system when installed will be able to detect faces and collect data including passport and visa information through security cameras. The security doors will be opened automatically when visitors will get closer to them.

Huawei has offered the solution to Pakistani authorities in response to growing number of Chinese and foreign visitors to Pakistan due to the mega project China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). This is to avoid long waiting and queues at the airport while focusing on better security checks and clearance for visitors.

Alaa Elshimy, MD enterprise Business Group Huawei said Pakistan is having a gradual increase in foreign visitors because of CPEC project, Pakistan’s economy is improving with this development and we will help the country to install innovative solutions at the airports so foreigners could be accommodated with high standard travel solutions.

It is not only Pakistan who might get benefitted with Huawei’s technology, the company is offering this solution to many other developing countries. Huawei has also developed other IT solutions such as “Mission Critical server”

Huawei is already working in Pakistan on various projects, the smart city is one of them, Huawei has successfully completed smart city project in Lahore and Islamabad.
