If random events are appearing in your Google Calendar, you are not alone.
One of the best apps you will need to have for your scheduled events is Google Calendar. This app automatically plans the events for which you received an email notification. A person who has a lot of meetings to try out this feature will find it very useful. As recently reported by some users, they are experiencing some issues with the feature. The calendar app is automatically generating schedules for the events that aren’t that important to be scheduled. At this point, we can’t really predict the number of users affected by the issue. However, there’s a solution for this issue.
Google Events is generating unrelated events
According to 9to5Google, the bug popped up in the app a couple of days ago. The application will begin scheduling all of the event notifications you received via email. The app continues doing this for unimportant emails, such as those that are for advertising purposes or unrelated to your work. The problem continues to occur with no apparent cause or sequence. The issue is reportedly caused by emails that have some kind of date mentioned in them.
If you are experiencing the current issue, you definitely have to wait until it gets resolved. If the issue is really messing with you, you need to turn it off for now in settings. To turn off the feature, you need to follow these steps:
- Open settings.
- Head to the events in Gmail.
- Turn off the event display option in Gmail.
The solution is not a permanent solution to the issue; instead, it can be really problematic for those who are used to the feature.
