In contrast to last year, iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 are likely to be launched simultaneously in the fall

Last year, the Cupertino-based tech firm Apple debuted iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 in accordance with varying schedules. However, some recent pieces of information suggest that the major software updates, i.e., iOS 17 and iPadOS 17, will arrive simultaneously this year. This information was shared by Bloomberg’s reporter, Mark Gurman. Reportedly, iOS 17 combines several new features and apps. Moreover, with iOS 17, several apps have been updated with the latest features.

According to Gurman’s internal sources within the company, the eight betas of iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 will be the final versions. Apple will release them in all but name, “preventing any unexpected happenings.” Last week, Apple rolled out the eight beta versions of iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 to developers as well as public beta testers. Such measures indicate that the company is all set to surpass the hurdles and introduce the iOS 17 to iPhone 15 series that will be rolled out this fall.

In 2022, iPadOS 16 arrived in October

In 2022, Apple debuted iPadOS 16 in October. It was one month after the public appearance of the iOS 16. The company opted for this option to make sure that the Stage Manager functions properly. Stage Manager is Apple’s window management system app. It was heavily criticized during the beta development phase.

The iPhone 15 series will be announced on September 12

Following the announcement of the iPhone 15 series at Apple’s “Wonderlust” event on Tuesday, September 12, iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 are likely to be released shortly after. The Apple TV app, YouTube, and the company’s website will all stream the autumn event live.
