Instagram expands its Shopping Posts To Other Countries

The online social media presence is getting richer with every passing day, earlier on the social media platforms, users were only able to interact with other users and in a limited way, latest technologies have now opened up more opportunities for the companies like; Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat and Twitter to integrate businesses, engage users from different perspectives and interests, Instagram is also expanding in a similar way.

The company has launched shoppable posts couple of years ago in the United States, the feature was limited only to the United States where users were able to make purchases via Instagram.

TechCrunch has reported that Instagram is now all set to expand its shopping posts to the countries other than the United States including France, Germany, Australia, Italy, Spain, Brazil, United Kingdom and Canada. If you are unfamiliar with these posts, these posts are actually shopping posts tagged with prices and the users can click on the button to land the product page and complete their purchase.

China becomes the top place for Mobile Phone Manufacturing

The posts are similar to advertisements that are placed on Google or Facebook, however, the Instagram platform is unique this time. According to the head of Business Instagram Jim Squires, “Millions of people use Instagram every day to discover and buy products from their favorite sellers, we want to bring in seamless experience for users, whether it’s a local artisan, local florist or a clothing store, shopping directly on Instagram was never easy.”

It might take a while before the feature rolls out in those countries, but if you are from the countries mentioned above then you must keep an eye on your Instagram and see when you will be able to test the feature.
