As per the latest information from WABetaInfo, the latest beta version (v2.23.7.17) of WhatsApp contains a new text editor experience when it’s being sent to a contact or being sent as a status update. However, you must be thinking that this feature was already available in the app, but this time the feature is available with some of the latest add-ons and text editing options.
In the latest version of the app, there are seven other options other than regular text fonts. These options include Calistoga, Courier Prime, Damino, Exo 2, and Morning Breeze. You can choose your desired option from a bar available right with the keyboard that offers a much more convenient way to alter the font options. Out of these available fonts, there are some that are pretty similar to those we have on Instagram.
The most recent beta now has the option to modify the text background color, which improves text visibility in high-contrast environments. Also, you can use this option to create a creative effect, such as when you want to set certain text apart from the others. This version of WhatsApp also has text alignment controls like those seen in word processors, so you may align the text to the left, right, or centre. Up until today, there was just the latter choice.
The new text editor interface appears to be flowing out to beta testers in stages, according to WABetaInfo. It can take some time for it to appear on your Android device. Nonetheless, the inclusion of this functionality in the most recent beta clearly suggests that it might be included sooner rather than later in the app’s stable version.
