As there’s less time left before Apple’s WWDC 2023 is going to happen. It seems like all these rumours will not die down until this event happens. As per Sunday’s preview, iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 are bringing enhancements to AirPlay and are listed as bigger amendments to the operating system of the phone.

A smart display-like interface that activates while the iPhone is locked and in landscape orientation is one of Gurman’s additional preview features. The previously mentioned rumored functionality would show notifications as well as calendar appointments and other information.

A journaling app with location service support is also mentioned, allowing users to keep track of their moods and emotions while also updating others on their whereabouts and taking notes. According to reports, the Wallet app will also be updated to keep up with Apple’s ongoing foray into the financial services industry.

SharePlay will reportedly receive some improvements in time for the Apple headset, though it’s not specified what those improvements will involve. Updates to health apps may include managing eyesight issues and mood tracking, in addition to being available for the first time on the iPad.

Apple has already acknowledged that iOS 17 will have some accessibility improvements, such as Personal Voice, which enables users to record a customized version of their voice for use with text-to-speech applications.

There have been rumours that the lock screen may add more customization options and a more user-friendly Apple Music interface.

Apple is preparing for changes to EU law that are likely in 2024 by including the foundation for sideloading in iOS 17.
