Emergency patch for iPhone
Apple is currently preparing to release iOS 27.0.1. The unscheduled emergency update for the brand new smartphones from Cupertino is scheduled to appear at the beginning of next week. The reason for the need for rapid action is a serious error in facial recognition with Face ID, which is leading to sudden device crashes for many users. Shortly after the iPhone 18 Pro was launched, a number of owners reported the serious problem.
As soon as the biometric unlocking fails, the affected users’ smartphones freeze completely and no longer respond to any touch. After a few seconds, the devices then perform a hard restart. Technically speaking, this is a kernel panic. The system is stopped to protect against further damage.

Problems with Apple Watches too
