iPhone New display Brings longer Battery life

The next generation of iPhone is expected to bring the biggest changes in years. In addition to the appearance, this also applies to the installed components. The Pro smartphones could get a new type of display that offers several advantages.

New display technology for improved efficiency

The iPhone 17 is not expected to come onto the market until fall 2025. But more and more rumors about the devices and their different variants are already doing the rounds. Now the well-known leaker has Jukanlosreve in one Post at X shared new information about the display allegedly built into the iPhone 17 Pro. This should offer progress in three ways. The Pro version of the smartphone will reportedly benefit from a completely new screen technology called Low-Dielectric TTE.

What exactly lies behind this name and how the technology works is still unknown. However, it should cause corresponding displays to work significantly more efficiently and thus save the device’s battery. The use of low-dielectric TTE should also improve the durability of the screens and their overall performance.

Always-On also for non-Pro models

In contrast, Apple’s XDR display is used in the iPhone 16 Pro. In addition to a contrast ratio of 2,000,000:1 and a peak brightness of up to 2,000 nits, this also offers ProMotion, which enables always-on by dynamically adjusting the refresh rate. According to rumors, this function will also be available on the standard and Plus models in the next generation.

More RAM and aluminum frame?

In addition to the information about the screen, there have also been rumors about the camera and RAM of the iPhone 17 Pro in recent weeks. The smartphone is said to come with a 48-megapixel telephoto camera on the back and a 24-megapixel selfie camera. The latter would be a significant upgrade compared to the iPhone 16 Pro’s 12-megapixel camera.

In addition, with regard to Apple Intelligence, the Pro devices should be equipped with at least 12 gigabytes of RAM instead of the previous 8 gigabytes. However, an insider recently contradicted information about the alleged use of aluminum in the housings of all iPhone 17 models. Apple should continue to use titanium for the iPhone 17 Pro.
