iQ00 will now offer three years of software updates

The iQOO 12 series is ready to be released on the international market. According to some recent pieces of information, the phones will no longer display the irritating bloatware. With the arrival of Funtouch OS 14, the bloatware will go away. Funtouch OS 14 is based on the Android 14 skin. A few months ago, the company unveiled a new version of the software. Furthermore, the list of eligible devices that will receive the new updates was also shared.

iQOO introduces a series of “Hot Apps” and “Hot Games” with the Funtouch OS on its devices out of the box. However, Funtouch OS 14 won’t feature any such sets. In simple words, the company is removing the bloatware. In addition to this, the company claims that the new series will be eligible to receive three years of major OS (software) updates. Furthermore, the devices will receive four years of security updates. Well, it is a nice and welcoming decision by the company, although it is not equivalent to the one offered by companies like OnePlus, Google, and Samsung, which offer extended OS and security updates.

Either way, we won’t be complaining because it’s a positive move. Ultimately, iQOO is still building its reputation, and if it manages to get additional funding, it will probably allocate a portion of its resources to maintaining its phones’ long-term updates.
