Meizu 21 will be official next week

In the past, we learned that the Meizu 21 series could arrive in the first quarter of next year. Contrary to this, the Meizu 20 series debuted in March 2023. However, it is now officially confirmed that the new series will be official next week in China, more specifically on November 30. It is anticipated that the new series will comprise two smartphones: a base version and a Pro variant. Let’s have a look at the rumored specs of the Meizu 21 series.

Features of the Meizu 21 series

Previously, it was rumored that the series would be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Moreover, reports claimed that the Meizu 21 series will feature an RGB ring LED light in addition to a vertical camera stack. The Meizu 21 and 21 Pro are rumored to feature flat displays with thin bezels. It will include a 50MP primary camera with OIS support and a periscope telephoto camera.

Besides these rumored specs, the company has shared some details about the specs of the upcoming series. According to the details, the smartphones will feature a 6.55-inch OLED screen supplied by Samsung. Some other notable features of the OLED screen include 1,920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, SGS low blue light certification, and 1.5K resolution. Notably, the screen is bordered by 1.74mm bezels on all sides.

It is now confirmed that the smartphone packs a 4,800mAh battery. Combined with features like a chipset, an energy-efficient screen, and the company’s OneMind 10.5 AI engine, it can reach a maximum of 5,100mAh battery capacity. In contrast to a competitor with a 5,100mAh battery, the Meizu 21 survived 8.2 hours in the extreme endurance test. The competitor lasted for only 7.4 hours. The 3C certification reveals that the smartphone will feature support for 80W fast wired charging.

According to the company, one of the variants of the new series will be accompanied by a white front panel. Another notable feature of the upcoming series is FlymeAuto. It is interconnected with Geely’s vehicles, like Lotus, Lynk & Co., and Polestar. Furthermore, the company declares that all Meizu 21 phones will come with an additional 36-month warranty.
