In February, the Cupertino-based tech giant Apple debuted the Apple Vision Pro. It was only available in the US market at the time of its release. Several reports and rumors suggested that it might enter the international market at some point during this year. More specifically, analysts suggested that it could debut in several markets before WWDC 2024 event.
As of now, we have received confirmation regarding the release of the Vision Pro headset in a major market. According to a report by Reuters, Tim Cook unveiled that the headset will be available for sale in China later in 2024. In response to a query from the media during the China Development Forum in Beijing, Cook stated that the first Apple spatial computer will be available in the country in 2024.
In addition to this, Cook mentioned that the company will increase its investment on research and development in China. Cook was in Shanghai earlier this week to see Apple’s recently opened Jing’an shop. Well, this is quite an interesting revelation from Tim Cook since it is the first time, we have received a confirmation about a region beside the US that will see the launch of the Vision Pro headset.
While Apple claims that the Vision Pro will be available in more countries later in 2024, the company has not yet disclosed a precise release date or location for the headset. According to Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst for Apple, the Vision Pro is expected to go on sale before WWDC, the company’s annual developer conference, which usually takes place in the first week of June. Kuo shared this information just last month.
