Microsoft Launching New Surface Laptop For $999 Comes With Windows 10S

Microsoft is launching laptop powered by windows 10S, comes under the brand name Microsoft Surface. Microsoft Surface also tweeted about this new addition.
The device was leaked last night when Chief Panos Panay came onstage to unveil the 13.5 inch laptop in front of audience at the New York City Event.

Panay unveiled the story behind developing this device, he said, this laptop is focused on students who are about to leave their schools and ready to take on their university life, as we interact with them a lot, we know their needs, that’s why we build a surface laptop for them and its beautiful.

The laptop uses fabric alcantara keyboard equivalent to its premium model Surface pro 4 keyboard. Video shows that the new laptop is high-end device which is clearly designed to promote new Windows 10S operating system.

Because the laptop runs on Windows 10S, the only available apps would be from Windows official store unless you opt for an upgrade.
The Surface Laptop comes in four colors: burgundy, platinum, cobalt blue, and graphite gold, and it’s below three pounds in weight.

Specifications

It comes with 13.5-inch PixelSense display and 3:2 aspect ratio. “Thinnest ever LCD touch model inserted into a laptop,” said Panay, complete with 3.4 million pixels.

The screen is also supported by Microsoft’s Surface Pen, which means you can draw on the display as well like other Surface devices.
“Equipped with latest Intel Core i5 and i7 processors, the performance is incredibly outstanding, the battery life will last for 14.5 hours. Microsoft also claims that the Surface Laptop is even faster than i7 MacBook Pro, and it has more battery life than MacBook Air.”
Microsoft has integrated vapor chambers into the aluminum finish on the rear of the device to help keep the Surface Laptop cool. There are no speaker grilles or holes apparently; speakers are integrated underneath the keyboard.

Preorders are going to start from today, starting at $999 for the specs; Core i5 with 4GB RAM and 128 GB Hard drive. Microsoft will begin shipping laptops from June 15.
