Microsoft Made Available Optional Updates For Newer Windows 10 Versions

Microsoft has added a non-security update for the latest Windows 10 versions. This is the November Patch Day preview. It contains important bug fixes, including for streaming problems.

The new update, marked as optional, starts for users of the newer Windows 10 versions 21H1, 20H2, and 2004. This update fixes a number of problems that occurred after the patch day and some have been known for a long time. These are non-security updates. The previews or optional updates correspond to the advance versions of Windows that were previously released as C updates. The bug fixes contained therein will – if nothing comes up – be automatically distributed to all users on Patch Day in November.

Anyone who would benefit from the bug fixes now and would like to do so can already obtain the update. It is offered as an optional update via the Windows update function. You have to search for it yourself via “Optional Updates” so that it can be loaded and installed.

However, Microsoft does not start the distribution in one fell swoop, as it does with the security-relevant updates. The update is managed under KB number 5006738. Information on this can be found as usual in the Knowledge Base. The update brings the builds 19043.1320, 19042.1320, and 19041.1320. The Windows team is testing various bug fixes and improvements with this update. We have translated the list of bug fixes and changes for you:
