Microsoft Office is testing a fresh new look

Microsoft Office was introduced in 1990. Since then, Microsoft Office has advanced significantly in terms of both usability and appearance. As per recent information shared by Techradar, the platform is set to receive a fresh new look along with a new font.

Currently, there are no visuals to support how the new update will look. The new theme will be applied across several Microsoft Office apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. The apps will now showcase an updated color palette. Currently, the apps present a vibrant and professional color palette. It’s vibrant enough to draw attention, but it’s not garish. Microsoft may introduce a more vibrant color scheme, or it may go the opposite tack.

In addition to the color palette, the company will add a new default font. It will be Aptos, a san-serif font that is easy to read. That seems pretty simple and straightforward. Finally, modified default line widths will also be part of this new style. We’ll have to wait and watch because we don’t know what the firm has planned.

The design changes require extensive testing and experimenting before making it available to the general public. The same goes for the new look of Microsoft Office. Currently, there is no information on whether the company is internally testing the changes or with users. The company claims that the new look will be available to the public somewhere in September.
