Microsoft Planning To Launch 12.5-inch Cheap Surface Laptop Between $500 To $600

Microsoft hardware has not always been a guarantee of success, but the Surface series has become an indispensable part of the world of technology. And the Redmond company is also happily expanding it. A smaller version of the Surface Laptop should be added soon.

The Surface series made its debut eight years ago and was initially laughed at. In addition, there were teething troubles that occurred especially in the first few days (or rather years). But now the most diverse surface devices are part of the “inventory” of the IT scene.

Microsoft recently expanded the Surface range in the direction of “affordable”, the Surface Go 2 is currently available in the Microsoft Store from a relatively cheap 409 euros. The successful push towards lower prices could now also be dared in another category: According to Windows Central, Microsoft is currently working on a project called Sparti.

Between $500 to $600

Sparti is said to be a 12.5-inch laptop (the current Surface Laptop 3 has a 13.5-inch display). The device should also offer an Intel Core i5, plus four gigabytes of RAM and 64 gigabytes of internal memory. This affects the entry-level model, because, as usual, you will also be able to buy better-equipped versions. The price quoted is $500 to $600, which would be a good deal below the entry-level price of the 13.5-inch Surface Laptop, which is available from 979 euros. Sparti can best be described as “Surface Laptop Go”.

This should also be a reaction to the corona crisis because, in view of the economic turbulence of the past few months, most of the dollars or euros are no longer quite as loose. October is traded as the date for the presentation or publication, Microsoft will probably unveil Sparti with some other Surface devices.
