Microsoft Surface Duo Foldable Phone Specifications Revealed

The Surface Duo is Microsoft’s return to the smartphone business, but it’s not a normal device, but a rather unusual cell phone with two displays. This should come out this year, too many details are not yet known.

It is usually not surprising if specifications are not known if the device is secret and/or not yet finished. However, both are only partially true of the Surface Duo: Microsoft already revealed it last autumn, and it is already being tested “semi-publicly” by numerous employees internally. Even Windows Central confirmed that the specifications are already available and can be expected to start at most minimal adjustments. According to information from Zac Bowden, the Surface Duo will come with a Snapdragon 855 and six gigabytes of RAM this year. 64 and 256 gigabytes are mentioned as internal storage options.

A sensor with eleven megapixels will be available on the camera. It will be the only camera on the Surface Duo, it will be used for selfies as well as conventional photos. The displays will be AMOLED panels.

There is also a 3460mAh battery. According to current knowledge, this can be quickly charged via USB-C, but not wirelessly. NFC is also said not to be on board, Surface Duo owners will probably also have to do without 5G support.
