Microsoft to bring Windows 11 with 3D emojis

In the past year, it was revealed it was announced that Microsoft was working on a brand new 3D emoticons to be used in Windows 11. However the Redmond firm had only supplied Windows 11 with 2D versions, and had denied the need to offer an update. In the present, the 3D Emojis are expected to be released in the near future.

There is currently only 2D Emojis integrated into the OS

Although Microsoft has already introduced new emojis into Windows 11 in the Fluent design, they are only 2D version of images. In October the senior program manager for Microsoft’s Windows Insider program, Brandon LeBlanc announced in a tweet Windows 11 should initially only make use of only the 2D versions. However, this could change over the next months.

Microsoft design expert Nando Costa has revealed that Redmond, the business Redmond has been working to develop 3-D version of Emoji. In a post posted on LinkedIn, he explains how much effort has been dedicated to the creation of these new symbols. The team responsible is said to have created and evaluated the smileys over the course of an entire year. However however, the 3D Emojis aren’t yet fully developed.

No release date has been announced.

When 3D versions are finally discovered within the Redmond OS remains to be observed. Nando Costa has only said that Microsoft is developing the latest Emoji. However, he didn’t provide an exact date for the launch. It is possible that updated smileys will be incorporated into the initial Insider builds within about six months, and will be included in Windows 11 , 22H2. In the meantime, users are yet to utilize the 2D Emoji.
