Motorola plans to launch a 5G version of the foldable Razr soon. So far, however, it has been unclear where the manufacturer has housed the fingerprint scanner. A new leak shows that the sensor has been placed on the back of the device.
As reported by MSPoweruser, the leaked information comes from the well-known leaker Evan Blass. The positions of the different buttons and sensors on the Moto Razr 5G can be seen from two rendered images. The fingerprint scanner was integrated into the round Motorola logo. In the previous model, the sensor was placed on the edge.
From previous leaks, it is already clear which hardware components are used in the Motorola Razr 5G. Inside the device, a Snapdragon 765 does its job, which is connected to eight gigabytes of RAM and a 5G modem. 256 gigabytes of memory are available to the user.
In addition to a NanoSIM slot, the device has eSIM support. The battery is 2845 mAh. While the main camera takes pictures with 48 megapixels, a 20-megapixel sensor was installed on the front. The foldable screen has a diagonal of 6.2 inches.
The new Moto Razr 5G model will be announced at an event on September 9th. It is not yet known when the smartphone will be delivered. In addition, it is currently unclear what price the device will cost. For the current Razr smartphone, around 1200 euros are still due in this country.
