Motorola introduces a mid-range smartphone: Edge 40
Earlier this week, Motorola introduced various new smartphones like Motorola Edge+ (2023) and various G series devices. As of now, the company has introduced a mid-range smartphone the Motorola Edge 40 in Europe. The company will introduce the device in more markets soon.
Motorola Edge 40 consists of a curved display and a central display camera hole. It has thin bezels. The device consists of an aluminum frame. It is offered in two different leather backplate variants i.e., Acrylic and vegan leather. On the back, the device holds two cameras. Physical buttons are located on the right side of the device. The front and back sides of Motorola Edge 40 curve into the frame.
The device features a 6.55-inch fullHD+ (2400 x 1080) OLED display. It is presented with a 144Hz refresh rate. This display offers 1,200 nits of peak brightness. The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8020 SoC. It is MediaTek’s 6nm chip. Motorola Edge 40 comes with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 flash storage.
The device comes pre-installed with Android 13. It includes a 4,600mAh battery that supports 68W TurboPower wired charging, 15W wireless charging and 5W reverse charging. Motorola Edge 40 consists of a 50MP primary camera and a 13Mp ultrawide camera. it also includes a 32MP camera on the phone’s front side.
Stereo speakers, Bluetooth 5.2, and Dolby Atmos support is also included. The device is IP68 certified for water and dust resistance. It has a Type-C USB port at the bottom. The device comes in two different variants i.e., Acrylic and Leather variants. The Acrylic model has 158.43 x 71.99 x 7.58mm dimensions and weighs 167 grams. The Leather variant measures 158.43 x 71.99 x 7.49mm and weighs 171 grams.
The Motorola Edge 40 comes in three different colors i.e., Eclipse Black, Lunar Blue, and Nebula Green. It’s available at €599.99 ($662). The device will be available in the European market in the coming days. The device will come to the Middle East, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific regions in the upcoming weeks.
