Motorola Moto E40 to Feature an Octa-Core Processor and a 6.5-inch HD+ Display

Motorola is planning to release the Moto E40, the new budget smartphone for the Moto E series. The smartphone will come with an Octa-Core processor and a 6.5-inch HD+ display. The company is a bit shy sharing details about this device, but leakster Evan Blass isn’t.

The tipster managed to score some good information about the upcoming smartphone. He is gathering more details and sharing them with the masses using his Twitter handle @evleaks.

According to the tipster, this budget smartphone will feature a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a 90 Hz refresh rate, an Octa-Core processor, and a 48 MP primary camera on the rear.  As seen in the renders, there are two buttons above and below the volume rocker. One could be the power key, the other could be a dedicated Google Assistant button.

Blass also shared an image with the placement for the fingerprint scanner and the logo. According to the image, the fingerprint scanner is placed at the rear side with a Motorola logo carved inside. He also confirmed via the image that there will be “a triple-camera set up in a large rectangular module.”

There’s not much to share for now, but we also heard from a source that this Moto E40 will also feature a Unisoc Tiger T700 SoC chipset; a good choice for the budget segment.

Other rumors suggested that this Motorola smartphone will have a RAM of up to 4 GB and up to 64 GB of Internal Storage, an 8 MP selfie snapper, an IP52 rating for dust and water resistance, will carry dual SIM support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, a USB-C port, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a 4,000 mAh battery.
