Apple offers a unique way of storing data for its users in the form of iCloud. iCloud is basically Apple’s cloud server that can be used to store data. Throughout the years, the company has offered different storage options to users. As of now, the company is all set to introduce more options. Recently, Apple revealed its new tiers for iCloud storage.
Just yesterday, Apple conducted its biggest event of the year. The company unveiled the iPhone 15 series with some notable software updates and added features.
Many users require ample storage space to store their data. For this reason, Apple came forward with the iCloud storage option. It lets users save their files on the company’s servers. The service is available in three different options. Users can get access to 50GB of storage by paying $0.99 per month. Furthermore, the 200GB storage option can be accessed for $2.99 per month, and the 2TB storage option can be availed for $9.99 per month.
In contrast to Apple’s iCloud storage option, Google One offers 100GB of storage at a rate of $1.99 per month. It offers a 200GB storage option for $2.99 per month, and the 5TB storage option can be accessed for $24.99 per month. There is no such difference between the prices of the two companies. However, Apple is trying to improve things on its end.
9To5Mac reports that the company debuted a 6TB storage option that can be accessed for $30 per month. Moreover, the company also debuted a 12TB storage option that is available for $60 per month. Users can share these packages with a maximum of six other users. Notably, the newly introduced storage tiers accompany the same feature set as the other payment plans. The company will launch the new plans next week, i.e., on September 18.
