New Microsoft Account Settings Page Appear In Windows 11 Preview

Microsoft has released a new preview version for Windows 11. The development team is now introducing the new settings page for Microsoft accounts but is initially only starting it for some of the insiders. We took a look at the new features of the build.

The Windows Insider team has launched a new beta version for Windows 11. Users who have registered in the Insider Program can obtain the update immediately. The new build is number 22489. The list of changes is long. We took a closer look at one of the changes because Windows 11 now has a revised settings page for the personal Microsoft account.

Not for all insiders

The team has chosen to slowly roll out the new “Your Microsoft Account” settings page. This means that at the start only a few users will see the new page and more insiders will gradually be added. The settings page allows quick access to information on the Microsoft account directly in the settings of Windows 11. This includes, for example, information on subscriptions for Microsoft 365, links to the order history, payment details, and Microsoft Rewards.

In the Windows blog, Insider boss Amanda Langowski and Windows manager Brandon LeBlanc also announce the following:

New features and important changes

• We’re extending the DNS over HTTPS capability in Windows 11 by adding support for designated resolver discovery.
• With this build we will be releasing new SDK and NuGet packages for developers.
• We added a known issue to the Windows Update settings page that affects how it checks for updates in this build.
• FINAL Build Expiration Reminder: We have updated the build expiration date for dev channel builds to 9/15/2022. Earlier dev channel builds from the RS_PRERELEASE branch will expire on October 31, 2021. To avoid this process, please make sure that it is best to update to the latest dev channel build today.
