Next month, Apple’s Infinite Loop Store will permanently close

Just recently, the tech giant Apple announced that its Infinite Loop is going to close soon. It is the company’s retail store, located in Cupertino, California. According to details, the store will close on January 20, 2024. From the middle of the 1990s until 2017, Apple’s headquarters were located in Infinite Loop. Reportedly, the company will compensate and adjust the existing staff of the retail store. Some of the employees will get a chance to work at the Apple Park Visitor Center and the Apple Valley Fair.

According to the company’s spokesperson, the employees can continue working with Apple. In addition to this, the company is closing another store on January 20. Reportedly, the Royal Hawaiian store will be closed permanently next year. Besides this, in 2023, the company opened new stores in China, India, the US, the UK, and South Korea. The company inaugurated an online store in Chile and Vietnam. Reportedly, only the store at the Infinite Loop will be closed; however, the offices will be in use by the company’s corporate employees. According to a sign available outside the entrance, the atrium of the main building is under construction.

When The Company Store first opened its doors in 1993, its main focus was on selling goods bearing the Apple brand. It reopened as a more conventional Apple retail store in 2015 after renovations, with items like the iPhone, Mac, and Apple Watch arranged on beige tables. Despite this, it kept selling a small range of goods, such as notebooks, t-shirts, reusable bottles, and mugs. Being one of Apple’s smaller stores, it does not provide creative sessions for “Today at Apple” or Genius Bar appointments.

For fans of Apple who frequently visit the campus and store, Infinite Loop is a must-see sight. But since the Apple Park Visitor Center opened in 2017, it has been overshadowed by it. At the Apple Park Visitor Center, users can visit Apple-branded merchandise, the Caffè Macs coffee bar, and others.
