Nokia To Launch Cheap Laptops Soon

Nokia Notebooks

Finland based brand Nokia will soon be found on the laptops for the first time after Android smartphones and simple cell phones as well as set-top boxes and Smart TVs. Apparently, there is an armada of Nokia Windows-based laptops.

Many years ago, Nokia also offered tablets and even a small series of notebooks in addition to its cell phones and early smartphones. In the meantime, however, the Finnish company has completely withdrawn from the end customer market and is concentrating on the business as a mobile phone supplier. An additional source of income is still the marketing of the name “Nokia”.

Cheap notebooks with Intel CPU and Windows 10?

The apparently planned “Nokia” notebooks are likely to come from exactly this direction. Several laptops have recently emerged from the Indian Product Safety Authority, allegedly to be marketed under the brand name Nokia. Presumably, these are products that come from a third-party manufacturer, but are licensed to bear the name “Nokia”. The model numbers indicate that they are laptop models of different sizes, which will be equipped with different display diagonals and Intel CPUs from the Core i3 and Core i5 series. At least according to the CPU series used, it should be a rather cheap device. This would probably tie in with the recently started tradition that the name is aggressively placed on products for the lower and middle price range, especially in India.

Tongfang Hong Kong Limited is named as the manufacturer of the new “Nokia” laptops – if they really should carry this brand name. Tongfang is an experienced Chinese Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) whose devices are sold under their names worldwide by a number of smaller brands, including the German suppliers Schenker and Mifcom. The company usually develops and produces the devices entirely on its own, so that customers basically only have to have their logo placed on them.
