Nokia Smart TVs Arrived In Europe With 7 Models
As promised earlier that Nokia is all set to sell its Smart TVs in Europe, Nokia has now brought its televisions to Europe in partnership with the Austrian company StreamView, a few days after the launch of the Streaming Box 8.000. There are 7 models in total, one only FHD 1080p and all the others 4K 2160p: the dimensions range from 32 (single FHD) to 75 inches.
The technical specifications are quite uniform between the various models. For example, the viewing angle is the same for everyone, 178 °, and the same goes for the SoC, with Arm Cortex-A55 quad-core processor and Arm Mali-470 MP3 GPU. Internal storage is 8GB, and the operating system is Android TV version 9. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 4.2, or Ethernet. On the audio side, there is support for Dolby Digital Plus and DTS codecs. The 32 “FHD TV has a couple of waivers: the RAM is only 1 GB instead of 1.5 and Dolby Vision support is missing (instead there is HDR10), the HDMI ports are only 3 instead of 4 (one of which with ARC, the 2x USB 2.0, the digital output for audio and the Ethernet remain unchanged).
A few more differences can be seen from the point of view of the integrated speakers, which understandably increase as the diagonal increases. There are three segments:
- 12 W: 32 “model
- 20 W: 43, 50, 55 and 58 inch models
- 24 W: 65-inch and 75-inch models
The remote control, again the same for everyone, is very similar (but not identical) to that seen for the Streaming Box 8000. For example, the button dedicated to Prime Video and Google Play is missing, replaced by two inevitable elements in a TV remote control, that is to select the source port and the TV guide. However, the backlight remains, which is always handy at night.
