OLED panels manufactured in China might be found on the Huawei P70 series

The domestic screen technology in China has improved over the years. The competitiveness of these displays has increased due to the adoption of 3Pulse/1Pulse and full high-frequency dimming solutions that cater to eye protection concerns. The tipster Digital Chat Station claims that the use of 8T LPTO technology improved the user experience and acceptance of local technology among users. Perhaps the upcoming Huawei P70 series will feature OLED display panels from four different local display manufacturers.

According to the information shared by the tipster on Weibo, a forthcoming flagship will feature display panels manufactured by COST, Tianma, BOE, and Visionox. We already know that Huawei is focusing on the advancement of the local industrial chain. The company is prioritizing local development instead of relying on international brands. From this perspective, we can assume that the tipster might be referring to the upcoming P70 series.

Reportedly, the Huawei P70 series will comprise the Huawei P70, the Huawei P70 Pro, and the Huawei P70 Art. Perhaps the devices will be powered by the new Kirin 9010 or the Kirin 9000s chipset. These flagship smartphones won’t be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8-series chipsets.

The P-series of the company is quite famous for its top-notch photography experiences. We expect the same from the upcoming P70 series. In addition to this, the P70 and 70 Pro might be accompanied by the company’s in-house camera sensors or OmniVision cameras. The Huawei P70 Art, on the other hand, could feature a 1-inch, 50MP Sony IMX989 camera sensor. According to reports, the Huawei P70 series might not debut in Q1 of this year. Therefore, it’s possible that at some point during the second quarter, the P70 family may debut.
