Paramount+ increases prices from June 2025

The streaming service Paramount+ increases prices for new customers and returning subscribers from June 5, 2025. Existing customers can first breathe a sigh of relief – you continue to pay the previous price of 7.99 euros per month for the standard subscription.

Price increase from June 2025

The next price round on the streaming market is scheduled: Paramount+ has announced a price increase from June 5, 2025. The new tariffs initially only apply to new customers and users who return after termination. For the time being, existing customers continue to pay 7.99 euros per month for the standard subscription.

The new prices in detail

The standard subscription increases from 7.99 euros to 9.99 euros per month (+25 percent). In the event of annual subscriptions, the standard package will cost 99.90 euros in the future.

Existing customers only spared temporarily

Experience with other streaming services shows that price increases usually become effective for existing customers with a few months of delay. With around 67 million subscribers worldwide, Paramount+ is well behind other services such as Netflix (over 260 million) and Disney+ (around 150 million). Industry experts see the price increase as part of a strategy to make streaming services more profitable, while even billions of account are invested in new content.

Hello Nadine, we are happy that you have a Paramount+ subscription and with us on the new films and series. We would like to inform you that the price of your current Paramount+ Standard subscription remains unchanged until further notice, whereas the price for standard subscriptions, which is completed after June 4, 2025, amounts to € 9,99/month. Your standard subscription also includes full access to all of our content, streaming on up to two devices at the same time and all previous features. Info email from Paramount+

For consumers, this means that streaming pleasure overall becomes more expensive. Anyone who has subscribed to several services must expect increasing monthly expenses. A development that could possibly lead to users become more selective and change their subscriptions more often or pause.
